| The Very Busy Weekend |
Im blogging from home! It feels Damn good to be online at the comfort of my room. Once again, thanks Jo! Its definitely nice to know the right kinda people. *grins*
Alritey, now the update. Apologies for not updating regularly. Excuse being that I was really busy coping with my studies. A part of my MIA-ness is also attributed to my recent liking to strolling at parks after dinner. Brisbane has got really beautiful and romantic parks/spots to chill and rot. I went to South Bank one night, laid on the grass the aussie way and chatted the whole night with Jo under the blanket of stars yet again. South Bank is somewhat like Esplanade but Bigger, with less eateries but more greens. I shall post some pictures someday.
The last weekend was pure fun - Housewarming BBQ at Festie on Saturday night and Byron Bay Trip on Sunday. What more can I ask for? haha. Jo's birthday falls on Sunday, so we actually surprised him with a cake after the BBQ session. He was to pick out the candles embedded in the cake with his tongue and mouth. As you can probably predict, his face was dirtied with chocolate cream and we werent spared from it either, a typical way of having a birthday cake I would say. The next birthday which is on this week will be Leng's. It is interesting how their birthday dates are crammed within these few weeks.
Here's a quick introduction to the residents of Festival Towers. (from left) Shawn, Leng, Esther, Joel cutting 'wires' (where are the ribbons?) for their Housewarming.

Now to Byron Bay. It is a 2hrs+ drive from Brisbane city but it was all worth the effort. Stunning setup! The cliff, the ocean and sound of waves crashing onto the rocks, the lighthouse and the beams, the blanket of stars set against the pitch dark sky and the gradual transition to sunrise. A pity that it was a cloudy morning, otherwise we will be able to see the sun rising above the horizon. Still, the experience was awesome. Im sure Im visiting this place again.

With that, I shall end my long entry. |
