| Wei er's Little Darling! |
I finally met up with Wei Er, her hubby - Josh, and her sweet angel - Tasha after being in brissie for more than half a year. She invited Smitha and I to her place last night for a stayover and we had quite a bit of girlie activities in the short time there. Of course, it is quite different now that she is a mummy. Poor Tasha is down with flu and is slightly more grouchy than usual, so Wei er was having a hard time juggling between entertaining us and her baby.
Still, it is hard to imagine how much things have changed since we graduated from TP. And the strangest thing is that we didnt interact much in school, other than that one ComNut project we did together. And so, there seem to be tons of catching up to do when the three of us got together. As expected, we didnt get to sleep much because we were chatting till 4am and Tasha's crying episodes woke us up. I can almost feel how it will be like as a mother. Smitha asked me if my biological clock is ticking away and I really wonder if that feeling that Im experiencing is so called the maternal instinct. Lately, I have been attending weddings, playing with babies and receiving news of friends and cousins getting married. My dad just told me that my cousin-in-law delivered a baby girl. Perhaps, it is because I have reached that age, the transition of being an Aunt. Booohoos..
Wei er is doing such a good job as a mother, Im proud of her. She prepared the room for Smitha and I. She made choc fondue for last night's supper. She woke Smitha and I up this morning. She feeds and pacifies her little darling. She entertained us with her photos and stayed up to chat with us. She woke up early to bake savoury muffins for all of us, including her in-laws. She even killed a spider that fell from nowhere when Josh went to pick Smitha up last night. Goodness.. And here I am, still ogling at guys, wasting time on unproductive stuff and mugging like this is the only thing I want in life. Indeed, our Father has different plans for every individual.
It was indeed a busy and compact meet-up, and we did so many things within the 24 hours. It is a pity that Josh couldnt join us today but we are planning another meet-up next week, so hopefully that will give us more time to catch up and take more photos.
Sometimes, I feel like settling down too and start my own family. Wonder when will it be and who will be the eventual Mr Right... I want adorable babies!! |
