2008 Christmas Wish
This is a tad too late to blog about but yet, 2008 Christmas is one of my most unforgettable ones. True meaning of Christmas is to celebrate the gift of Christ which bridges us to our Lord God, and through Him, we find true purpose in living. So this year, instead of anticipating the presents or wearing new pretty clothings and going out for big parties on the day itself, I wanted some alone time with myself. On one hand, I was busy packing my luggage, and on the other, I was trying to enjoy the solitude of this year. On the eve itself, my day was such: last minute gift shopping in the morning til noon, roast chicken preparation, stroll and choc mint conetto alone, quick dinner at lud's kitchen with the rest, back home packing and not bothering myself with the countdown. As I was packing away, my mind was running through the year's event, reflecting upon how well I fare this year as a person. I must say that it was not entirely enjoyable being alone but it was worthwhile. Another thing that I am really grateful is that I've finally found my spiritual family to celebrate Christmas with. We had a Christmas for kids event at Inala community in the beginning of december to celebrate Christmas for the disadvantaged children and their family. My search for a meaningful Christmas ends here and I look forward to many more years of Christmas to spread God's joy and love to the people.
And then just before midnight, my special someone came by with his heart and his beaming face and offered his company.
A little tug, a little thud, to keep my heart real. A beaming smile, a warm hug, on the busy after. A hand to hold, an extra shoulder, to share my burden with. Few drops of tear, two aching hearts, to work hereafter. Four praying hands, two sincere souls, to present to our Father. This was my summer, A smile in my heart, Always I will remember.
