| Sanctuary of mine |
My new home is really a great place to live in. Not only am I 'well taken care of' (sometimes a bit too much care), Im blessed with beautiful worship music around the house. My keyboard mentor, also my housemate, is always ready to share some tips with me as I practise. There is a Coles supermarket just 15 minutes walk away at Centro Lutwyche, a neighbourhood shopping centre. And it is not too far from KG campus and RBWH which I will be having my coming clinical placement. There is a direct bus to the valley, chinatown. Im so glad that there hasnt been any cockroach spotted in my house yet. I think this is considered a brick townhouse, explaining the lack of insect problems. All in all, Im really blessed to be staying here. House renting can be rather tiring as moving around all the time is no fun at all. I really do wish to get a job and settle down with a decent house that I can truly called my own soon. That is the next phase of my life which Im looking forward to.
Community placement will finally be over by the debrief presentation session this thursday. Phew! Thank God for His grace and favour! I started the placement with my fellow student who is really vocal overshadowing me in all areas of work and consequently, I seemed to gain little favour from my supervisor. As the weeks went by, things got better for me as my supervisor gave me more recognition of my work despite my meek disposition. Another 4 more placement sites to go. 6 weeks just went by like that and I've picked up quite a bit about the work of a community nutritionist. The upcoming clinical placement will be even more intensive, but I can already imagine myself graduating altogether. Dietetics community continued to have narrow job openings, yet I believe that we have a role to play in the world's platform in influencing the culture of food and diet. Which area will I see myself working in ? Im still uncertain at the moment and at the same time, not worrying too much about it. ___________________________________________________________________________________
This is for the one who showed me how to love again:
Let not my heart sings its song, but to follow Your score, for the perfect anthem. Let his heart be beating in sync, with Your divine rhythm, in composing the beautiful song.
