It will be so nice!
It's holiday....! Im feeling so good and excited tonight. WHy? because it was my second time driving in Aussie and my first time driving on motor way, with the guidance of my 2nd best driver in the world. (shhh, true frens wont tell on me right? my parents will be highly unhappy about it. ahem) The 3 brave and mighty girlies from 3306, left in the house for the september break, are going to have some Real Fun! We have succeeded in our first activity - sending Joel to the airport with the rented car. And we watched the korean movie (200lbs Beauty) with much laughter and tears (alright alright, it was only me with the latter part =/) while having our dinner.

There will be more thrill for the next few days Im sure! The pile of notes are chucked aside, not deserving any attention at all, just pure FUN for now. This is such an awesome feeling. Girl Power! Shopping, the worlds, food, music, driving, finding our way around brissie, and many more. We are planning to bring our mattress to the living area and sleep altogether tonight.

'Excursions' are my favourite thing, events that are worth looking forward to. It really makes the whole overseas experience complete. Besides, I wrote silly postcards which Joel will be helping to pass to my family.

Thank you Heavenly Father for the sweet sweet happiness within me at this moment. Pray that everybody will have safe fun this september break. Amen.

Outdated Updates
OOOOh.. Today marked the end of Mid exams! What a torture having to study all the science stuff when I suck at them, so here I am to compensate for my MIA-ness. Firstly, let me just detail River Festival which was on 1st Sep. That is not too long ago right? hee. It is literally river on fire as there were endless fireworks display at night and a whole day of 'family-day' sorta activities along beautiful SouthBank. Not forgetting my roots, I had to uphold the Singaporean principles and image. So, off I went with Joel early in the afternoon to secure a good spot near the river side. (just for that short display of fireworks? Hmmm =/ to think that I had exams that coming mon) But we were not alone. The river side was littered with people, especially family, having a picnic or just enjoying the atmosphere. Naturally, under the hot sun, I was so bored and baking away.

But it was all worth the efforts for that half an hour of spectacular display. I actually have a romantic, fairytale-like fantasy with proposal and fireworks and I wonder if it will ever happen in reality. Anyway, here are the few pictures..

and a video clip I got from Youtube.

Bet on Losing
People always wonder why bother to be so health conscious when there are plenty of examples out there of people who died of heart attack or other degenerative disease even when he or she had adopted a saintly diet. And of course, they question me that whenever I appear to be fastidious about what Im eating.

Life is a gamble. Will you place all ur bets on losing?

It is needless to say that on the gambling table, everyone who places a bet wishes to win. But it is surprising to know that people actually bet on losing when it comes to health just for that instant gratification and satisfaction of filling their stomach with whatever they like to eat (with no considerations whatsoever on better food choices). There are many with this 'Im-going-to-die-anyway' attitude around and it is saddening. By giving up totally on your diet (assuming you eat rich food everyday), you are increasing your risk of earlier onset of diseases.

It is a probability that we are talking about. Anyway, nobody can be certain about anything at all. If positivism can be adopted in gambling, I dont see why optimism in good health (with a good diet) cant be adopted. There are many cases when gamblers lose their fortune and even life. But did people stop gambling altogether, thinking that they will lose no matter what?

Having a fairly good diet is not about chewing grass, eating fruits and no meat. It is all about balancing a day's requirement and making wisER food choices. So what do I mean by wise? Right now, my definition would be to balance the unhealthy choices with the healthier ones on a daily basis.

What Im saying is, you should be conscious of your healh to a certain degree. At least know what you are eating, be responsible for your health and be in control for that little power you hold in your life, leaving the rest to what God has planned for u.

Love, actually
Nice movie which brings back heaps of sweet memories. Strange how the brain works and how it brings the subconscious mind back to consciousness. And then, I wonder... what happen in the end? Shouldnt a sweet beginning end with a happily ever after ? Perhaps fairy tales are dead as how Shrek in the movie has spoofed it. Still, every memory is worth keeping and every relationship is a step closer to finding the one.

I will always keep the memories safe with me. Thanks for all the times together. =)
